Venkateswara Temple, Dwaraka Tirumala

Venkateswara Temple, Dwaraka Tirumala

Dwarka Thirumala is a village located in the West Godavari District. Sri Venkateswara Swamy is perched on a hill called Anantha Chalam in this village. This shrine is of great importance. Dwarka Thirumala, also known as Little Tirupati, is the abode of the self-existent Srinivasan. The Pampa River flows north of the temple. The same is true of today's red canal. According to the wishes of the Saptars, Sri Hari created a beautiful tirtha with his Sudarshan Chakra. The same Sudarshan Theertham. The place where the temple is located on the top of the hill is about 2 km long, with a table bed. Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is located on this hill. Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple is located at a distance of 2 km from the temple, on the northern edge of the hill. Devotees believe that Tirumala Tirupati Swami will get the same fruit as the one made in Tirumala Tirumala. The highlight of the place is that there are 2 statues under the same flight. An idol is perfect. The second is a half idol with only one upper part of the Swami. The present temple was built by the landlords of Mylavaram. The plane, the pavilion, the tower, and the walls are known to have been built during the time of Dharma Apparao (1762-1827). Gold ornaments and silver vehicles presented by Rani Chinnamma Rao (1877-1902). During the Purana period, a sage named Dwarakuda sat facing north on a remnant hill in this Dwarka Tirumala and did penance, while for a while Sri Maha Vishnu appeared in front of the sage Dwarka. According to the wishes of the devotee, the Swami immediately turned his face towards the south. The shrine has been popularly known as Dwarka Thirumala ever since. We cannot visit Swami as his feet are in the mound of Swami who is self-sufficient in this field. Only the upper part is visible to us. For that reason, it is known that in the 11th century, Vishishta Dvaita Sri Ramanujacharya visited the shrine and erected another standing idol according to the Vaikhana Sagam on a high pedestal behind the self-evident Dhruva Murti to give everyone the opportunity to worship Swami Pada. Devotees believe that measuring the self-contained, half-visible statue will bring salvation, and then measuring the erected vertical figure will provide the masculine meanings of Dharmardakama. There are 4 air domes on either side of the temple. The anointing of the Swami does not take place here. Because it means that there is an anthill under their idol of a small drop of water.

According to the tradition of this temple, 2 marriage ceremonies are held every year in the month of Vaishakh and Ashvayuja. That is to say that Swayambhu Murthy appeared in the month of Vaishakh and the perfect idol was erected in the month of Ashvayuja so they perform Kalyana in the lunar months. There is a welfare mandapam at the entrance of the temple. Swami had their feet in the paduka mandapa at the first step of climbing the stairs beyond the mandapa. Devotees bow at these feet and climb up. On the way up the stairs, there are statues of Dashavataras on both sides. On the east side of the stairs are the Annadana Satra, Andal Ammavaru, on the west side is the Padmavati Ammavaru and the Nithya Kalyana Mandapam.

Inside the main entrance, on either side, facing the sanctum sanctorum, are statues of Dwarakamuni and Annamacharya. Above the gate are the statues of the Saptars. Around the sanctum sanctorum, along the perimeter path, there are statues of 12 Alvars adjoining the Prahari. There is a Diparadhana Mandapam on the way around. The main shrine has small shrines of Anjaneya Swamy and Garuda Swamy. Venkateswara Swamy, who is self-contained in the sanctum sanctorum, and Venkateswara Swamy, who is revered, give us darshan. In the half-mandapam on the right next to it, facing east, are the Andal and Ammavars. Special saffron pujas are held on Fridays during this Ammavar. To the east of the main temple are the Yaga Shala, the Vahana Shala, the Maha Nivedhana Shala and on the west side the Thiruvantapadi Tools Shala. Adjacent to the west is the Kalyana Bundle offering head hairs. Subrahmanyeshwara Swamy Temple at Kalyana Katta, has a Nandi idol. To the west of Dwarka Thirumala village, there are two bathing spots, Chakratirtha and Rama Tirtha. The mandapam between Pushkarini was built in 1999. Theppotsavam is celebrated every year on Karthika Shuddha Dwadashi. The Vaishnava priests worship here. A variety of services are offered to Sri Venkateswara Swamy every day from four o'clock in the morning till nine o'clock at night. The doors of the temple are closed from 12:30 pm to 3 pm and the Swami gives a break for their darshan. Archana's are not only special worships but also every Friday, Saturday, New Moon, Full Moon, Ekadashi Tithi, on the birth stars of Alvars. Special festivals are held during the months of Sri Krishnashtami, Sri Ramanavami, Ugadi, Sankranti, and Dhanur. For the Swami, Thiru Kalyanams is celebrated in the month of Ashwija and in the month of Vaishakh. On Mukkoti Ekadashi, the true form of Swami is available to the devotees. On the day Swami removes their ornaments and performs the Thiruvanjana service. The crowd of devotees is high at this time.
